Black & White Spider Awards: Winners Podium!

Voilà plusieurs années que j’ai proposé mes travaux aux Black & White Spider Awards, une des toutes grandes organisations du monde des concours de photographie, liée à la fameuse Tate Galery. A chaque édition, j’avais eu le plaisir de voir certaines de mes créations validées par le Jury et recevoir une nomination (“Nominee”). Sans pour autant monter sur le podium des gagnants.

C’est aujourd’hui chose faite, et c’est avec un grand honneur que je me vois attribuer la 3ème place en catégorie professionnelle, photo de nu, avec la mention “Honor of Distinction”. Cette édition a vu 7556 photos proposées, en provenance de 71 pays.

Cinq autres de mes photos sont nominées. Il s’agit de travaux argentiques, moyens et larges format, développés par mes soins.

Voici donc des années de travail, de patience, de découragements parfois, de combats du doute, mais aussi de plaisir, de découverte, de passion et surtout de bonheur dans la création. Mes remerciements ne vont pas seulement aux organisateurs, mais à ma femme qui me soutient quotidiennement. J’aimerais ici encore saluer toutes les fabuleuses modèles qui ont posé pour moi, et travaillé dur aussi pour ces créations. J’aimerais remercier particulièrement la modèle présente sur cette photo victorieuse, qui souhaite rester anonyme.

11TH ANNUAL BLACK AND WHITE SPIDER AWARDS HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER FABIEN QUELOZ FROM SWITZERLAND

LOS ANGELES November 8, 2016 – Professional photographer FABIEN QUELOZ of Switzerland was presented with the 11th Annual Black and White Spider Awards WINNER 3rd place – HONOR OF DISTINCTION in the category of NUDE PHOTOGRAPHY at a prestigious Nomination & Winners PhotoShow webcast Saturday, November 5, 2016.

The live online gala was attended by over 10,500 photography fans around the globe who logged on to watch the climax of the industry’s most important event for black and white photography.

11th Annual Jury members included captains of the industry from National Geographic, Washington DC; The Armory Show, New York; TBWA, Paris; Victoria Film Festival, Canada; Aeroplastics Contemporary, Brussels; Studio Hansa, London; Fratelli Alinari, Florence; Australian Centre for Photography; Young & Rubicam, Lima; and Anthem Worldwide/Marque Branding, Sydney who honored Spider Fellows with 627 coveted title awards in 31 categories.
